The Search for Great Rewards- 7 Credit Cards You Should Know About

We went on a hunt to find credit cards with the best rewards programs for you. Through the help of some online articles, we uncovered the top picks and perks to benefit your wallet. All of the cards listed have a low interest rate or APR and no annual fee. Whether you’re looking to make a big purchase in the near future, or just add some plastic to your wallet, one of these cards should be a good fit for you!

Discover It Discover Card- A very appealing card with no annual fee, over-limit fee, or foreign transaction fee. This card also has a great rewards program, offering low interest rates and 1% cash back on eligible purchases and 5% back on changing categories like travel, gas, and groceries and more. Discover It also offers 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 14 months and a $0 Fraud Liability Guarantee.

Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards- As the name suggests, this card will give you some cash back on all purchases, 1.5% back! The cash back does not expire and you can redeem at any time. There is 0% intro APR until December 2014 and there is no annual fee!

Chase Freedom- Offers a strong introductory APR with 0% for 15 months on transfers and purchases. There is, however, a balance transfer fee. If you spend $500 in purchases your first 3 months, you’ll get $100 cash back with this card. With the Chase Freedom rewards program you earn 1% cash back on all eligible purchases and 5% back on revolving categories. * If you’re a big Starbucks fan like we are over at Paragon, this card offers 5% back from January 1st through March 31st!

Barclaycard Ring MasterCard- This card offers one of lowest APRs out there (8%!) and no annual fee. It does have a rewards program, but it’s a bit different than what you may be used to … it’s a Giveback profit sharing feature where you can “share the estimated profits based on the community’s financial performance, and choose to keep your share of the profits or donate to charity”.

BankAmericard Travel Rewards- We wanted to add a card that was beneficial for the traveler, and with this card you earn 1.5 points for every $1 spent, which can be redeemed for flights, hotels, vacation, etc. and there are no blackout dates. There is no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee. There is also a 0% intro APR for 12 months.

Citi Dividend Platinum Select Visa Card- This card definitely has a good rewards program. In addition to 5% cash back on multiple categories that change every quarter, you also get 1% cash back on all purchases. It comes with 0% introductory APR and no annual fee. You can also earn $100 cash back after spending $500 in the first 3 months of your membership. Time to start shopping! The one downside to this card is that is does have a balance transfer fee, so just make sure you’re aware of that, otherwise it should be a nice fit for anyone with good credit.

Citi ThankYou Preferred Card- 0% introductory APR and transfers with no annual fee start this card off right. With this rewards program you get 2x points on dining and entertainment and 1 point (also called the ThankYou point- how sweet!) on all other purchases. If you travel frequently this card is also pretty useful as it offers travel accident insurance, assistance services, and $3000 in lost luggage coverage. This is a great every day usage card for anyone with excellent credit already.
